My journey began at my father's shop, where I gained initial experience. Seeking greater opportunities, I made my way to the bustling city of Grand Rapids, working in a high-volume automotive shop. This environment proved invaluable in honing my skills, particularly in drivability, mechanics, and electrical work. As word spread about my expertise, I earned a reputation among other auto shops, solidifying my standing in the industry. However, an unfortunate injury forced me to pause and contemplate my next steps.
During my recovery, fate intervened when I reconnected with old friends who happened to have a vacant building for rent. Trusting my instincts, I decided to take a leap of faith, starting with just enough funds for the first month's rent and an old 1979 Chevy flatbed. Determined to establish my own business, I began by salvaging metal and plastering flyers across town to generate awareness. As time went on, my younger brother joined forces, offering his assistance after school. Together, we navigated the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, learning how to survive and thrive as small business owner.
Through perseverance and determination, we have arrived at where we stand today. Our journey started humbly, from my dad's shop to the vibrant city of Grand Rapids, and ultimately, to the establishment of our own enterprise. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, we adapted and grew, relying on our shared experiences to overcome obstacles. The lessons learned along the way have shaped us into resilient entrepreneurs, and we look forward to embracing new opportunities while cherishing the path we have traveled thus far.
